CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - The Wyoming Highway Patrol celebrated its 90th anniversary on Tuesday.
The event showcased displayed items from the past and present of Wyoming’s Highway Patrol.
“Despite the fact that so many things have changed in law enforcement here in Wyoming, something doesn’t change. And those again are our ethos of service, integrity, honor and duty,” said Col. Tim Cameron, Administrator, Wyoming Highways Patrol.
WYDOT hosted the event with a barbeque, kids’ activities, vintage police cars, and vintage uniforms.
Retired officers, Troopers and the public had an open invitation to the event to pay their regards to all that the patrol does to serve the community.
And they all acknowledged the people and staff that make the Wyoming patrol happen.
“I especially feel very proud of my employees, both troopers, port of entry, our dispatchers, and our professional staff. You know every component of the patrol contributes to the overall success,” said Cameron.
Wyoming Highway Patrol wants to remind everyone that they are recruiting and that today was a celebration of their history and their commitment to the people of Wyoming.
