Wyoming Highway Patrol celebrates 90 years- LIVE @12 noon

We’re here at WYDOT to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the Wyoming Highway Patrol. I’m here with Col. Tim Cameron. What can you tell us about today’s events?

Well, what you see all around you is the 90th Anniversary celebration.

We have activities for every member of the family, things for kids.

It’s a celebration of course of our history. You’ll see our historical artifacts, out uniforms and cars.

And even though our technology and things have changed, some things don’t change.

And that is the Wyoming Highways Patrol ethos of service, integrity and working hard for the people of Wyoming.

I’ve seen some of the booths with the old uniforms. We’ve even got bouncy castles over in the center, and I’m seeing BBQ behind me. That must be really a treat for you guys.

Have you had a chance to enjoy some?

No, not yet, but I’m going to, so we urge the community to come on by, and we’d love to talk to you and share our history with you; certainly, our community is part of that history.

We’ll be here until about 3 o’clock at 5300 Bishop Boulevard, so come on down, back to you in the studio.
