Growing and declining industries for Wyoming

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) -Wyoming had 16 growing industries in 2022Q4, which accounted for 21.9% of all industries and 18.3% of the state’s total employment. Growing industries included support activities for mining, professional & technical services; merchant wholesalers, durable goods; construction of buildings; and repair & maintenance. .

There were nine declining industries in 2022Q4, which made up 12.3% of all industries and 4.0% of the state’s total employment. Declining industries included heavy & civil engineering construction, petroleum & coal products manufacturing, and pipeline transportation.
