CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - It’s that time of year again when graduates toss their caps up in the air to celebrate a long-fought victory and a collective sigh of relief.

As they finish a chapter of their lives and studies, they begin to look toward a brighter future.

Laramie County Community College had its Spring Commencement ceremonies on Saturday at the Storey Gym in Cheyenne.

The ceremony celebrated 225 students crossing the stage, receiving their degrees, and 700 students completing their academic programs and credentials for the 2022 to 2023 academic year.

Commencement provides the opportunity for graduates to celebrate with their peers, Instructors and loved ones for a day of recognition.

As graduates embark on the next stage in their lives and careers.

”It’s all degree opportunities at LCCC. Some students get more than one credential. Some students get more than one degree. But its pretty wonderful to have that kind of a success rate for our students here at our college and to see so many students walking a way with education in their background and the future in their foreground, and we’re just really excited about that,” said Lisa Trimble, Vice President of Advancement at LCCC.

LCCC is already taking applications for the new year in August. Scholarships, grants and Loans are available.
