CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - The 307 Tennis Club in Casper was supposed to be the sight for the 48-48-48 Guinness World Record book pickleball challenge today, however mother nature had other plans.

That will now be taking place at a later date, however 307 Tennis Club Owner and Director of Tennis, Eric Nokes, kept the club open for people who wanted to come down and play pickleball.

With it being one of the fastest growing sports, Nokes started the pickleball program they have at the club this past fall. He said, “The interest is slowly building like it is I think everywhere, pickleball is becomming hugely popular. Super, it’s fun to play anyone can kind of come out and get introduced to it and pretty quickly start finding people to play with.”

People who are members at the club have the opportunity to join leagues to get some competitive games in, or reserve court times to play with a group of people.

If you are not a member, you are still able to come down and schedule time for lessons or join a class, if you are looking to find a good way to get into the sport.

Nokes said, ”All of our instruction based stuff, we have two pickleball teachers also, and then myself and my assistant for the tennis, and everything that we run where it’s instruction based for classes, learning how to play, private stuff, that’s available to anybody.”

They will be holding both pickleball and tennis courses over the summer.
