CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Cyber Wyoming still has spots to fill for their “teens exploring careers” workshop.
Cyber Wyoming offers a camp for girls to explore their digital world in a career setting.
The week-long event runs from June 16 to 21.
It will focus on cyber security featuring a mock hospital and murder mystery in a creative business firm.
The class will be held at Casper College.
It’s free for high school students from entering first-year students to those graduating.
“It’s really important because there is a major shortage of i-t workers nationwide and in Wyoming. And women have the opportunity to fill that gap. It’s a great job whether you’re going to have a family or not, it’s a wonderful career, and in technology and security, there are so many different areas,” said Laura Baker, President of Cyber Wyoming Alliance.
A grant from Daniel’s fund sponsors the workshop.
