CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - The end of the regular season for high school soccer is fast approaching, and the Lady Thunderbirds and Lady Plainsmen grabbed victories to build momentum as the postseason looms.

East hosted South at Okie Blanchard, and they kept the pressure on early. They were finally able to break through in the 28th minute when Jordan Griess delivered a perfect pass to Brooklyn Paskett in front of the net for a one-touch score. Out of the halftime break Sage White was able to tack on another and extend the Lady T-Birds lead. Those were the only goals in the game as East’s defense held strong, and they won 2-0.

Laramie went to battle across town with Central, and they took control in the first half with goals courtesy of Chloe Whisenant and Kaylee Kern. The Lady Indians had a couple good chances to tuck one in the second half, but had some tough breaks and weren’t able to convert. Devani Romero extended the lead for the Lady Plainsmen to make the score 3-0, and that held until the final whistle.
