Fatal crash near Evansville shuts down highway for hours

A major section of road closed for several hours today because of a multi-vehicle accident.

EVANSVILLE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - A major section of road closed for several hours today because of a multi-vehicle accident.

The call came in a little before 9 am, and multiple agencies responded to a crash with injuries outside of Evansville.

The crash occurred on Highway 20-26-87... also known as Old Glenrock Highway... just a couple of miles up from the Wilkins State Park.

The highway was closed in both directions for several hours, from Hat 6 Road all the way to Glen Rock... Some 17-miles.

According to the Casper division of Wyoming Highway Patrol... Two pick-up trucks collided head-on, killing all three people in those vehicles.

The victims are described as two adult males and one juvenile male. Two of the victims died there at the scene, and one passed away later at the hospital.

Sgt. Clint Christensen says the investigation is still ongoing, and more details will be released when available.
