CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Last week’s weather created an interesting situation for Central and South’s soccer teams. The girls game on April 14 was tied at full time, which prompted a postponement for the overtime period until Monday. The boys game was postponed entirely to the same day.

The contest between the Lady Indians and Lady Bison was knotted up at 1-1 before the extra time played out. In the initial 80 minutes, both teams looked fairly evenly matched in terms of possession and scoring chances. However, Central would be the ones to capitalize when play resumed. They caused constant problems for South, and ultimately Kalyanna Flores was able to tuck one away for what ended up as the deciding goal for a 2-1 Lady Indians victory.

The boys game was not as tightly contested. The third ranked Indians lived in the attacking third while simultaneously playing shutdown defense. Central went into halftime up 2-0, and never looked back; they netted a third goal out of the break to take home a 3-0 win. Logan Custis had another game with multiple goals to continue his hot streak and help the Indians remain undefeated on the season.
