Cooler Weather Coming In Wednesday

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Starting today off with our lows for tonight, we’ll dip into the 40s overnight but for most of the night we’ll stay pretty warm. In some places there will be a bit of a breeze that will make things feel colder though so be prepared.

Tomorrow’s highs are going to be similar to what we had today although cooler air is coming in from the west which will eventually cool us all down going into Wednesday. However, the cold front that passes through bringing that cool air may bring more than just colder temperatures.

We do have a risk of some thunderstorms in the Casper area and to the east. While the risk is low, it’s still important to stay aware in case of any severe weather so review your plans on what to do in case of severe weather or if you don’t have a severe weather plan, get together and talk about how you would stay safe in the event of severe weather.

Moving to our regional outlook, the rain will be widespread through the state tomorrow evening which is when the best chance of storms will be. After the rain passes, the snow will move in behind it. We likely won’t get much snow but be prepared in case the roads are slick.

Finally with our extended forecast, after the rain, cooler temperatures will stick around the area for a while until Sunday when we start to warm back up into the 50s and 60s. In Casper, the same trend will settle in where we’re cool until Sunday where we warm up into the 50s and 60s into the new week. Our lows will be very cold through the week though so be prepared for some winter like temperatures overnight.
