CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Kelly Walsh and Natrona both had their first softball games of the season yesterday, and they both played their second today. This time around they switch up their opponents, as the Lady Trojans took on Worland, while the Fillies of Natrona played the Fillies of Cody.

After a scoreless first inning, Kelly Walsh turned up the heat and got on a roll in the second. Ali Scribner hit a monstrous double with bases loaded and drove in the first three runs of the game. There was no looking back at that point for the Lady Trojans, as Chloe Dallman-Janski hit a double soon after and tacked another one on the board for them. Kynlee Griffith got the start on the mound for Kelly Walsh, and she was absolute dynamite. In the third inning, three batters came up, and all three batters struck out. Kelly Walsh would find their first win of the season, as they got the win 12-2.

Natrona came up against a hot Cody team, and right from the get-go, Cody came in with their bats on fire. They found open holes within Natrona’s defense, and that led to them gaining a massive 8 run lead in just the first inning. Soon, they would be up by 10, while Natrona couldn’t find any runs just yet. It wouldn’t be until the third when they got 4 runs put up, but Cody continued their offensive assault. NC was able to pull the game within 4 runs at one point, but in the final inning, Cody blew it open, and they beat Natrona 20-10.
