Central Boys Soccer keeps a clean sheet on Thursday against Laramie
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - The Indians soccer team has been a force to be reckoned with thus far, entering their contest against Laramie undefeated and ranked third in the state.
Their hot streak continued against the Plainsmen in a convincing showing. Central dominated possession all game, and gave themselves a number of scoring chances from the opening kick. They were able to break through in the 27th minute thanks to Logan Custis, who buried the rebound off of an Indians free kick. Custis would find the back of the net again in the second half via penalty kick, and that was the extent of Central’s scoring in the outing. It was more than enough, as the Indians played shutdown defense to keep the Plainsmen off the scoreboard; they won 2-0 to remain undefeated.
