Kelly Walsh Drops Softball Home Opener
CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - After a nasty blizzard that delayed a ton of high school sports around the state, high school softball started back up, and Kelly Walsh hosted Cody in their home opener.
The Lady Trojans found themselves behind in the first inning, after a stolen base home and a two run double, hit into deep center field. They left runners stranding after the first and second inning, due to Cody’s defensive efforts. The Fillies would tack on another four runs in the second inning, extending their lead to seven. Although the Lady Trojans were able to get on the board later in the game, it wasn’t enough as they dropped their first game of the year to Cody 14-2. They take on Worland in their next game.
