The 17-year-old driver was ejected from the vehicle and did not survive his injuries. Speed is believed to be a contributing factor in the crash.
The crash follows the Cheyenne Police Department attempting to make a traffic stop and the driver allegedly leading officers on a chase earlier in the morning.
According to the Cheyenne Police Department, at 12:51 a.m. an officer attempted to make a traffic stop near East Pershing Boulevard and Taft Avenue.
