Warming Trend Has Begun
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Let’s start out with the bad news before we get into the good news. Tonight is going to be very cold around the area as temperatures will be in the mid 20s for the Cheyenne area and teens for the Casper area. While it won’t be a blustery night ahead, some winds are expected and that could also cool us down even more. Luckily no more snow is in the forecast for tonight so we don’t have to worry about that.

Now onto the good news and it’s what we’ve been waiting for. 50s and 40s return to the Cowboy State after a cold snap. Cheyenne will reach the 50s and places nearby may even reach 60. Casper is a bit colder at 41 but that’s still warm compared to what we have today. While things won’t stay this warm it’s a good indication that spring is finally breaking through the cold and that we can finally look forward to sunny days.

Our temperature trend shows some good news as well. Even though Sunday is a bit colder than the days around it, warmer days are around the corner with next Tuesday even getting close to 60 (!) degrees. We start to cool off a bit afterward but spring is making a pretty good first impression here in the Cowboy State this year. Hopefully more warmer temperatures continue but for now it’s a bit uncertain when they return.

Wrapping things up with the extended forecasts, warmer temperatures and sun on the way for Cheyenne. A bit of a colder weekend but the new week starts off strong. Unfortunately 30 degree highs return later next week so we could see some cold days return but warmer temperatures should follow shortly after those cold days start. For Casper it doesn’t quite get as warm but plenty of sun and 40s on the way for the weekend and the week ahead. A chance of flurries through the area next Wednesday and Thursday reminds us that winter is still around but we shouldn’t see any accumulation. Let’s enjoy those warmer temperatures and dust off those T-shirts Wyoming!
