Warm Weekend Ahead, Winds Coming In
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Now that the storm and frigid weather is over, let’s see when we’ll get back to normal temperatures.
Tonight will be chilly around the area with most places in the teens and some places in the single digits. Winds can make things feel even colder so an extra layer or two might be necessary here tonight.

However, going into tomorrow, things are much better with temperatures reaching the upper 40s in the Cheyenne area and mid 30s in the Casper area along with the sun being out. The sun and and warmer temperatures should help melt the snow and improve travel around the area. Temperatures will continue to increase through the weekend as well but we won’t stay this warm for long unfortunately.

On Saturday not only will things be warm, they will also be windy. Around the area strong wind gusts will come in, especially near Rawlins, Casper, and Douglas. This gusts could blow some snow that didn’t melt around and could make it harder to see but will also make travel a bit difficult with the wind and it will make things feel very chilly in some areas. Those winds and wind gusts will stick around for a while into the new week with periods of calm winds and periods of gusts.

Wrapping things up with our extended forecast, we’ve got a warm weekend ahead for Cheyenne but a windy one as well and things will cool off a bit into Wednesday and Thursday. For Casper, it’s the same trend with a warmer weekend ahead and a windy week as well then colder temperatures move in on Wednesday and Thursday.
