A piece of paradise in the Wyoming winter
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - The week between Christmas and New Year’s can be when boredom starts to set in.
If you’re looking for something to do, to get the kids out of the house, and stretch your legs, the botanic gardens might be the place.
The Cheyenne Botanic garden will have its light display up until January 8th.
Admission is free and open to the public.
And it gives folks some relief from the cold Wyoming winter and the little ones a safe place to run around.
During Christmas, the evening display had about 300 to 4000 folks come in.
“To come ot a place like this I think it helps the soul to drink in some of the greenery and the warmer temperatures and hear the birds chirping in the conservatory, particularly on a windy cold day it can kind of lift your spirits,” said Scott Aker, Director Cheyenne Botanic Garden.
Officials said about 1000 linear feet of lights were in the botanic conservatory display this year.
