CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - It’s official the Laramie County Election results were certified Friday.

According to the Laramie County Clerk, over 63 percent of voters showed up on Tuesday.

There were 47,775 registered voters in the county, but only 30,210 folks cast their votes.

The canvassing board met at the county clerk’s office to review and examine Laramie County election results and any provisional ballot issues.

The County Clerk oversees and administers Laramie County’s elections.

Each county’s election results are canvassed by a bipartisan county canvassing board at a public meeting before being submitted to the Secretary of State’s office.

“Its something that every county does, and in fact every state has to do it. Because its where you sit down and you review the results look at any issues that arose on election day, and as I said look at provisional ballots and make those determinations before the results are certified,” said Debra Lee, Laramie County Clerk.

The state canvassing board will meet on Nov. 16th to certify the state results.
