CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - The midterm elections are just a day away, but many Wyomingites are making their voices heard early.

Monday is the last day for early and absentee voting, all early ballots must be submitted by 4:30 pm on Nov. 7th.

As of Friday, the preliminary number for early voting was over 9,000 votes, with roughly 28 percent of registered voter ballots already in.

On election day, there are seven polling places open from 7 am to 7 pm, voter ID is required, and same-day registration is available.

“There has been a lot of interest in this election, and initially, people were saying, ‘Oh, the turnout is not as good as the primary.” But so far, indications are that it is. It’s surpassed the primary at least from the number of early and absentee voting,” said Debra Lee, Laramie County Clerk.

Officials will also be live streaming their absentee ballot processing. Voters can watch it in real-time as ballots are counted.
