2022 State Champions crowned in High School Volleyball
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Wyoming’s Volleyball season ends with faces familiar and brand new at the top of the podium.
One of those familiar faces was Kelly Walsh. They came in to the day set to play Cody, and managed to get the sweep to win their first title since 2019.
Mountain View’s last championship was one year after the Lady Trojans won theirs, but they will both now get to add 2022 to the banners. The Lady Buffalos’ pushed past Lyman to win in 5.
Burns hadn’t won a state title since the early 1990′s, but that changed on Saturday. They put away Big Horn 3-1 to secure their first championship in the 2000′s.
Riverside had the largest drought broken, because they’d never won a championship in the schools history. Number one finally came in 2022, as they take the win over Southeast in 5.
