East defeats Central 3-0 in Tuesday night volleyball
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - A battle of Cheyenne schools went down as East hosted Central in the Thunderdome.
East headed into the matchup with a 13-8 record while Central sat at 7-11 looking to turn the tide.
The Lady Indians started the match off strong; the first set was tightly contested but East was ultimately able to edge it out 25-20.
That ended up being the only closely contested set for the rest of the match, as East hit the gas and never looked back.
They cruised 25-13 to take the second set, and secured the match sweep 25-15 in the third and final set to improve to 14-8.
The Lady Indians will try to bounce back on Friday against Sheridan, while the Thunderbirds face a tough test in their next matchup against the 5th ranked Natrona County Fillies, also on Friday.
