CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - An energetic and excited crowd at the Republican Nominee Harriet Hageman’s watch party was ready for a win, and boy did Harriet Hageman deliver on Tuesday evening.

With about a 30 percent lead over the incumbent U.S. House Representative Liz Cheney, the crowd was cheering and clapping for Hagemans’ winning speech on Wyoming values and American ideals.

In a landslide vote, Wyoming’s new congressional leader Hageman won the sole seat of Wyoming’s U.S. House Representative.

In her victorious acceptance speech, Hageman spoke about liberty, religion and freedom from government overreach, re-iterating that government should speak on behalf of and for the people. And that citizens control government power when they engage in the process and hold officials accountable.

“Wyoming has made clear that they are done being governed by the Washington D.C. uni-party. Those democrats and republicans who don’t really care which party is in power just as long and they are,” said Hageman.

Hageman said in her speech that she was speaking on behalf of Wyoming people who believe in the American dream.
