UW Football turns their focus to Northern Colorado ahead of Saturday’s matchup
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Wyoming Head Football Coach Craig Bohl took to the podium on Monday following a close victory over Tulsa that ended 40-37. After that win, he said players get about 24 hours to enjoy the win before it’s time to focus on what’s ahead.
Well, that time has expired, and the team now locks in on Northern Colorado.
“Both their Quarterback’s out of high school were both 4 star recruits, so obviously they have ability. Their big up front, their offensive line, it’s got a big, big offensive line. I think very capable running backs. Over on defense, lot of different pressures which always pose you problems,” Bohl said about their September 10th opponents.
Bohl spoke highly of the Bears ahead of Saturday’s matchup, showing that the team has moved on and won’t be taking the FCS school lightly.
Kicker John Hoyland sunk the eventual game-winning field goal on Saturday, but says he’s soaked it in and is ready for his next opportunity.
“It’s pretty easy. I just try to take everything week by week, nothing that happened last week really matters. I’ve already looked at the film, I know what I need to improve on, what I need to fix. So, I’ll try and implement those in practice this week and, you know, be better,” said Hoyland, who made a career-long 55 yard attempt against Tulsa.
Saturday’s game will be the pokes second home game of the season.
