Cheyenne East came away with a dominant victory in Week Zero, and Kelly Walsh will look to regroup in Week One when they visit Cheyenne Central.
CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - The Casper Christian School hit the football field for the first-ever time. They traveled up to Midwest and did not receive a warm welcome to Wyoming 1A 6-Man football. The Mountaineers lost in a scrimmage 49-0. They’ll try again next week versus Burlington.
At 4A, every school had a meaningful Week Zero game. Cheyenne East opened the season on a high note at home with a 47-28 victory over Campbell County after leading at the half 40-0.
Kelly Walsh also opened the season at home, but they were unable to defend home turf against Rock Springs. The Tigers weren’t pawing around in a 42-7 win.
