Parker Paxton, Riverton boys win Douglas Invite

CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - The high school golf season is in full swing in Wyoming. Parker Paxton and the Riverton boys have gotten off to a spectacular start to begin the year.
Paxton shot a 65 on Wednesday and a 70 on Thursday to secure the boys’ individual title at the Douglas Invite. That was 20 strokes better than the second-place finisher. The Riverton boys team also took home the top spot by more than 50 strokes.
On the girls’ side, Wheatland’s Macy Jones narrowly edged her teammate Lily Nichols with a strong second day to win the girls’ individual tournament. The Wheatland girls team won the team tournament.
