CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) — The crowd at Harriet Hageman’s election watch party was ready for a win, and boy did Hageman deliver, with a lead of over 30 percent over the incumbent.

The crowd was electric, cheering and clapping for Hageman’s speech on Wyoming values and American ideals.

In a landslide vote, Hageman, the new congressional nominee, now becomes Wyoming’s G.O.P. front runner for the sole seat of the U.S. House Representative and will take on Democrat Lynette Greybull in the general elections in November.

Hageman came in after her victorious sweep and gave a speech about liberty, religion and freedom from government overreach.

Hageman also noted that government should speak on behalf of the people and that the citizens control government power when it engages in the process and hold officials accountable for their actions.

“Wyoming has made clear that we are done being governed by Washington D.C. uni-party. Those democrats and Republicans who don’t really care which party is in power just as long as they are,” said Hageman.

Hageman said that she was speaking on behalf of the Wyoming people who believe in the American dream.
