Cheyenne Frontier Days Parade brings everyone out to celebrate
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now)- It’s a piece of local flavor and history for all to enjoy. Cheyenne Frontier Days had its Parade Tuesday morning.
Families and locals were out to see the festivities alongside visitors from out of state.
” I planned. I bought tickets for the rodeo in January, so I’m staying here for 3 days... I fell in love with rodeos,” said John McKinney, visiting from Massachusetts.
The parade is an opportunity for folks to get together and celebrate Wyoming’s western history and have fun in the sun.
When asked what’s your favorite part about gunslinging during the Cheyenne Frontier Days?
Doug Gumm, Gunslinger and Cheyenne Frontier Days Town Actor said “I get to shoot my friends.”
It’s also a time to honor our military and veterans.
”We decided to stay and raise our family. It’s a great city,” said Maureen Maldonado, a retired Veteran who was stationed here from out of state and fell in love with Wyoming.
And kids love it too...
”My favorite part of the parade is the fire trucks,” said Riggins Crofd, 5-year-old Wyomingite.
Cheyenne Frontier Days is a great chance to enjoy the parades, have a pancake breakfast and visit the fairgrounds...
” It’s powerful fun come on out and have some,” said Gumm.
