CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - One of the best parts of going to Cheyenne Frontier Days is the food!

From the classic favorites of turkey legs to corn dogs and lemonade. There’s something familiar and something new every year.

This year folks can look forward to new sweet and savory sandwiches, to even a donut grilled chicken sandwich.

If you’re feeling like something more exotic, there’s Chinese food, spicy corn Elote.

Volunteers say they, worked out last year’s food wait times and made sure to have enough staffers to help patrons get fed and enjoy their time on the grounds.

”Fruity Pebble shrimp Po’ Boy so that’s a fan favorite and a bucket of cookies with milk, which you know on a hot day doesn’t sound too good but trust me when you try it makes sense,” said Ben Frias, Volunteer Concessions Committee, CFD.

Officials say food sales and attendance remain steady in spite of the pandemic and inflation this year.

The numbers are just a little lower than the 125 milestone year.
