CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Electric Vehicle charging is making it’s way to the Cowboy State, and is even free during Cheyenne Frontier Days.

Moser Energy and Tyrell Chevrolet are partnering together during the event to assist with out-of-towners and Cheyenne residents that may struggle to find charging stations.

With federal infrastructure funds designated to expanding electric-vehicle use in the state, charging stations similar to this are set to become more common in the future.

“We’ve got a solution here that will remove that biggest obstacle that Electric Vehicles have, especially in the West, where you’ve got long distances between towns. We can put the mobile charging wherever the demand is,” said Peter Dawes, the CEO of Mosey Energy Systems.

The portable EV station will do rapid charges, meaning 30 minutes of charge time gets you 200 miles.
