CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - For the sixth Thursday in Summer 2022, Cindy and Dave DeLancey hosted ‘DeLancey Team Roping’ at their family arena at at 1806 Torrington Road in Cheyenne.

Cindy DeLancey said the event keeps growing in popularity. She said the ropings now garner spectators and they need two round robin ropings at 5:30 and 7 to accommodate everyone who is interested.

As for the event itself, ten headers and ten heelers compete round robin style. All headers rope with all heelers one time and there are a total of 100 attempts.

The header and heeler with the most total caught steers are the winners and if there is a tie it is broken by time. The top three head and heel all go home with cash.

1st Place ($400 per man)

Heeler: Chase Hollingsworth

2nd Place ($240 per man)
