CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Bees are a crucial part of the world’s ecosystem. They pollinate the plants that humans and animals eat, and without them, food would be much more scarce.

What happens when bees find a home inside the walls of your house though? Don’t kill them, call in a company like A “Bee Friendly” Company.

A “Bee Friendly” Company was out on 24th and Pioneer this afternoon, removing a colony of honeybees from the roof of a house.

Over 60,000 honeybees were nestled into the space under the shingles of the home, feeding their queen, making honey, and growing their population.

On Tuesday, A “Bee Friendly” Company opened up the roof and began removing the comb., bees, and brood, and relocating it to another location safely.

The process is expected to take a few days, as the beeswax was very soft from the hot July sun.

A “Bee Friendly” Company workers say the reason you should not kill the bees is because leaving the wax, honey, and brood inside the walls can bring in mold, other bugs, and even rodents. These companies come in and completely clean out the hive, so that it looks like the bees were never there.

If you have a bee problem, you can reach out to A “Bee Friendly” Company on Facebook, or by phone. A link to their FaceBook can be found here.
