Casper Horseheads’ Brayden Morrow extends hitting streak to 11 games
CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - On Tuesday night, Casper Horsehead Brayden Morrow belted a 2-run homer to give the Heads a 5-4 lead over the Badlands Big Sticks in the bottom of the fifth. It also pushed his hit streak in Independence League competition to double digits.
With the hit streak sitting at 10 games entering Wednesday night, Morrow said he was feeling “really great right now” at the plate before taking on the Big Sticks again.
“I’m trying not to think about it too much,” said the Tulane infielder before Wednesday’s game. “Just taking it a game at a time and trying to keep the hot streak going.”
The Louisiana native didn’t take long to show off how much he was burning up at Mike Lansing Field. He cranked a double into the right-center field gap that extended the hitting streak and drove in a run.
He’d add an RBI single later in the game, but the Horseheads would fall 8-4 to the Big Sticks. Morrow will look to keep the streak going, and the ‘Heads will look to take the series over the Badlands on Thursday night with the first pitch scheduled for 6:35 p.m.
