Another Summer Day
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) -
It was just another one of those days. The summer pattern is here and looks like it is going to continue on for a few more days. Today started off, sunny and warm and with a few clouds rolling through. Once the afternoon came along, more of that cloud coverage snuck its way into the Cowboy State. Rain showers and clouds have continued moving through the SE corner and the eastern half of the state since this afternoon.
Showers will continue into this evening. Thunder and lightning will make an appearance for some of these pockets of showers moving through tonight. Overnight, again, the rain showers will move off to the East. Compared to what has happened the past week, the cloud coverage is actually going to be sticking around tonight and into tomorrow morning. Rain is going to begin a little earlier in the day tomorrow, and will build rain chances across the state in the afternoon and evening. There are Level 2 - Slight Risks for tonight and tomorrow in the NE corner, with the gradient down to general risk in the SE corner. There will be another chance to see rain again on Thursday.
Temperatures today were hot, Wyoming’s not so friendly reminder that it is in fact summer time. Temperatures today ranged from the mid 70s to triple digit temperatures. Torrington actually reached a high temperature today of 101 degrees. Low temperatures tonight are going to be mild and will range from the lower 40s to the mid 60s. Temperatures tomorrow are going to be warm, but actually slightly cooler than today. High temperatures tomorrow will range from the mid 70s to lower 90s. Those hot summer temperatures are not going to stay away too long, much of the SE corner will head back into the 90s by the weekend.
