CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Air Force members may soon be getting some housing relief.

A new proposed housing development project is finally in the works.

The Action and Advocacy committee meeting on Tuesday discussed Air Force housing.

The Air Force has re-released its enhanced use lease or EUL.

They also plan to expand their housing and potential commercial use in the over-flow park and ride lot from CFD, which is offering to lease this property.

Contracting submission for the project will be available in August, with plans to break ground next Spring.

“We want to make sure that it’s a success this time. We definitely need some of the housing in our community and we want to make sure we have housing for Airmen and women that serve this nation that live here,” said Dale Steenbergen, President and CEO of the Greater Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce.

Pharmacy Benefit Managers were also discussed at the meeting.

This topic affects health care costs and the committee wants to ensure they stay affordable in Wyoming.
