CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - What better way to kick off the July 4th celebration than with fireworks and CFD’s Frontier Park has got them in spades.

The city of Cheyenne and frontier days are working together to bring Cheyenne the fireworks tonight.

The festivities will start around 9:30 pm.

Places where folks can park to view, including LCSD1 school’s parking lots, WYDOT and Lions park, are also available. Still, Carey Ave. will be closed by 3 pm.

The display will last over an hour to celebrate our special day.

“Just how proud we are of Wyoming and what we value here. And I hope everybody gets out and celebrates our country. All the men and women our service men and women obviously we’re so grateful to them. So we just hope it’s a big celebration, and all the families can show up and watch,” said Shellie Hardsocg, Volunteer Public Relations Committee- CFD.

A five-person team put together the fireworks show over the last two days, and it will include over 1000 firework shells.
