Where to launch and watch fireworks this 4th of July
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - As you have probably heard, fireworks are banned in all major cities of Wyoming this year. But, for firework lovers, there is good news.
Safe launch sites, and firework displays are still happening on Monday. Here are a few:
From the Laramie County Sheriffs Office:
“As we come upon the Independence Day holiday, we want to encourage you to celebrate responsibly. Fireworks are legal in Laramie County as there is no fire ban in place. If you choose to set off fireworks, we encourage you to use the Fireworks Shoot Site located at 2275 W College Dr. between the hours of 8pm to midnight. In order to use the site, you must possess a pass or your receipt from Pyro City, Black Cat, Phantom or USA Fireworks and present it when you pull into the gate.
-Outside of the City of Cheyenne limits, fireworks are legal to use as long as you are the land owner or have permission from the land owner.
-You cannot shoot fireworks off from or over a public roadway, including state highways and county roads.
-The fireworks debris cannot land on other peoples property.
-Please be respectful of other individuals peace and limit the time frame of shooting fireworks. Laramie County does not have a noise ordinance, but any intrusive noises from fireworks in the very late evening and early morning hours could meet the requirements of Wyoming Statute 6-6-102: Breach of the Peace.
For the town of Pine Bluffs, please see the Pine Bluff Police Department Facebook page for further information on fireworks use inside the city limits”
A fireworks display will be held at Frontier Park at 9:35pm. Residents are encouraged to watch from nearby parks such as Lions Park, as Frontier Park is closed to the public this year.
The 307 Fireworks Festival 2022 will be happening at the grounds of the Ford Wyoming Center
A free community event to highlight local businesses, promote local spending, and provide the 307 community a celebration! Includes food trucks, food vendors, Wyoming vendors, sidewalk chalk competition, cornhole tournament, live music, and a fireworks display.
The 2022 City of Laramie “Fire in the Sky” fireworks display, will begin at approximately 10:00 p.m. on Monday, July 4th (unless inclement weather conditions prevent the show). In case of such weather conditions, the show will be held July 5th. J&M Displays of Iowa will supply the fireworks and pyrotechnician Dave Akers returns for his 32nd consecutive display in Laramie. The display will again be launched from the area near 22nd Street and Armory Road.
