Sixers split a pair of Saturday games in Post 6 Firecracker
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Following wins over Hastings and the Slammers, the Cheyenne Sixers started off their Fourth of July weekend 2-0. Saturday left them a full plate, with two games separated by only 30 minutes ahead for the Cheyenne-based team.
Opening the day was a game against the Greeley GoJo’s, where 3 runs a piece in the first and fourth set them up for a 6-5 narrow win.
Zack Costopoulos and Kelden Hastings shared the honor of most RBIs, driving in two a piece in the contest.
Right after this came a game against the Idaho Falls Bandits, where things got out of Cheyenne’s reach early. A 6 run third inning for the Bandits proved to be too much for the Sixers, who fell 7-3 ahead of the final day of action.
