CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) -
For most of the state, conditions started the day as they have all week. For most of the state, this Wednesday morning began with clear, blue skies and lots of sun. For the SE corner of Wyoming, it has been a hit or miss with seeing some of the blue skies this morning. Overnight, clouds began rotating their way across the SE corner. Those clouds continued making a presence into the morning hours and further into the afternoon. Temperatures all around were mild but comfortable this morning. And a slight breeze helped to make it feel that way.
Throughout the rest of the day, clouds will keep rotating throughout the SE corner. Skies will continue being in the partly to mostly cloudy range into the evening. Tonight, clouds from the South will keep moving into the southern half of the state. A lot of the cloud coverage will be partly cloudy until the morning. Heavier cloud coverage will move from the SW corner to the SE corner throughout the morning and into tomorrow afternoon. As that cloud coverage transitions through different corners, scattered rain showers will make an appearance from some places throughout the SE corner. That area of clouds and showers will move out overnight Thursday, leaving mostly clear skies to start off Friday morning in the eastern half of the state. However, Friday morning brings heavy cloud coverage to the western portion of Wyoming with a new system. Smoke is going to be taking up a broad area of the state for the next couple of days, but it is going to be on the lighter side of the smoke density gradient.
Temperatures have warmed up from the mild temperatures this morning. High temperatures today are ranging from the upper 60s to the mid 90s. Low temperatures tonight will be mild (again) ranging from the upper 30s to the mid 60s. High temperatures tomorrow will range from the upper 60s to the mid 90s, with warmer temperatures for some cities in the SE corner/ NE panhandle.
