Prep Athlete of the Week: Davis Crilly
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - This past weekend gave Wyoming and Montana basketball players alike a chance to celebrate a strong year through a pair of all star games.
One player who used the series to close out both his year and high school career was Kelly Walsh’s Davis Crilly, who set the tone for the cowboy state in both contests.
Sheridan hosted game one of the set, where Crilly led his team with a twenty two point performance. That performance made him the lone Wyoming athlete to hit double digits in the game.
He managed to keep his momentum in Billings, putting up 12 points to be the joint highest scorer for the state there as well.
Crilly knew he did well, but it was the experience of the games that stuck with him. He said one of the coolest aspects of the event was being able to play alongside guys that he’d spent years battling on the hardwood.
“Being able to play with Deegan Williams and McHale Holte, two guys that we’ve played our whole life, same thing with Alex Sanders. I’ve played against that kid my whole life. Being able to team up with them and get to know them on another level outside of competing against each other was like, it was incredible,” said the Kelly Walsh senior.
next up for Davis is a summer of being with his friends and family before taking his next steps into college.
