The 90th Operations Group celebrated its Change of Command.
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) -In life, the beginning or end of a chapter can be bittersweet, but in the 90th Missile Wing, it’s celebrated.
The 90th Operations Group celebrated its Change of Command with a ceremony on Wednesday.
After a 2 year term, leaders Colonel Tytonia ‘Ty’ Moore passes the baton to Colonel Jared Nelson to help keep our nation peaceful and safe.
“This will be a seamless transition...as the mission will continue to carry on with the new Commander who is taking over today,” said SSgt. Alex Davis, 90th Missile Wing Protocol.
As we say goodbye to one, we remember.
“The team here, the Missile Wing, the community partners, the mission partners. We’ve done an amazing job. I’ve had an amazing time,” said Moore.
“We know that it’s time to move on, but we’ve just enjoyed the time that we’ve had here. It’s been a complete honor,” said Tonika Moore, Ty’s Wife.
It’s essential that they stay focused on the mission.
“I think Colonel Nelson will be a great advocate not only or our Airmen but to help our community better understand what the Sentinel Missile brings as we transition from the Minute Man 3,” said Deane Konowics Vice Commander, 90th Missile Wing.
And on the community and the people that do the job.
“This base brings in a diversity of airmen. And i want to make sure that the community knows that we need support of all airmen. And whatever we can do to foster those positive relationships we will continue because our airmen deserve it,” said Moore.
For Colonels Nelson and Moore, we wish them the best of success in their next chapter.
