CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) -
The last of yesterday’s cold front continued moving out this morning and even into this afternoon some. Most of today’s clearing has been the process of getting the residual cloud coverage and showers out of state. Some cloud coverage is continuing to move its way out this afternoon too. Fast winds picked up this morning and have been blowing strong since.
Winds from the West will continue blowing in the 20-40 mph range through this afternoon and into the evening. Today’s winds are helping to clear out the last remaining cloud coverage from the cold front. The wind speeds tonight will calm down and skies will be clear. Clear skies will continue into the day tomorrow. But the winds will return in the afternoon and continue through the evening hours tomorrow. Overnight tomorrow, the wind speeds calm down again and stay calm into the morning Thursday. With these faster winds sticking around, there are both High Wind Watches and High Wind Warnings within the SE corner.
That cold front moved in yesterday and really cooled the state off. If you listened closely yesterday, you may have even heard our Cowboy State sizzle. Temperatures today are much more comfortable. High temperatures are ranging from the upper 30s to the lower 80s today. Low temperatures tonight will range from the upper 20s to the lower 50s. Tomorrow, temperatures will begin warming back up and will range from the low/mid 50s to the upper 80s. Temperatures are going to be getting warmer the rest of the week.
