CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Nationwide inflation and surging prices are impacting not just consumers, but small businesses. With Independence Day less than a month away, big-ticket products like fireworks are in high demand.

Wholesale Fireworks General Manger, Skyler Krehbiel, said the business is working hard to make sure their increased costs don’t hurt their customers.

“It really is kind of detrimental to small business; unfortunately, we have been experiencing it the most,” said Krehbiel. “We are not the biggest guy, but we are not the smallest guy either, so I certainly sympathize; if you only have one or two stores, it is impossible right now.”

Krehbiel said costs like transportation and shipping have sky-rocketed, nearly quintupling this year.

Despite the challenges, Wholesale Fireworks is expecting to receive a large shipment ahead of the summer holiday.
