BASEBALL HIGHS: Gem City snaps losing streak, bulldozes Nebraska in Game 1 of twin bill

LARAMIE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - The Gem City Bison were on a four-game skid entering Wednesday’s game against the Nebraska Prospects.
The Bison hung an eight spot in the 1st inning and just kept scoring. Gem City scored in every inning that the team came to the plate. The Bison scored two runs in the 2nd and 3rd inning, one run in the 4th inning, and then exploded for 11 in the 5th.
A mercy rule was evoked after the Top of the 6th inning and the Bison won 24-11. Nebraska won game 2, 7-5.
The series rubber match is at Cowboy Field at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
