CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - The Orr’s Hope Foundation is preparing for its second annual Concert of Hope. The event will kick off at 5 p.m. on Thursday, June 9 with a performance from Rising Star Tumbling and Dance.

The concert at David Street Station aims to help bring awareness to the number of premature babies and critically ill children there are in Wyoming.

“I think basically we just want everyone to come out enjoy themselves we want everyone to recognize how many families have to travel to Denver [Colorado] and other states for health care for their children and we want it to be a really fun and hopeful night,” said Orr’s Hope Foundation Director Cherish Novotny.

The foundation was created to help families across Wyoming who had premature babies. Since its founding in 2018, the foundation has grown to help families with critically ill children as well.

According to The Orr’s Hope Foundation website, the organization has the flexibility to provide intentional support to families through non-medical financial assistance, their Patient Advocacy Program to make local resource connections, and Connect with Hope groups to come alongside Wyoming families.

They are excited to team up with DSS to host the event for a second time, and to show support to families with children that need special medical care.

“It just brings tears to our eyes it’s so incredible I mean we truly are blessed to live in such a wonderful community and have so many different avenues to support families in need,” said Orr’s Hope Foundation Founder Shannon Orr.

The Concert of Hope will feature live music, food trucks, and vendor booths that can be enjoyed all evening.
