CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Saturday June 4, Chatters bar and grill in Bar Nunn hosted a fund raiser to help gather money for 3 Natrona County High School students who were injured in a flash fire last March. The event had raffles, live and silent auctions, craft vendors and live music.

Co-owner of Chatters, Josey Kienzle, said that they decided to host the event to show that the Bar Nunn community still supports those in Casper saying that everyone there is “Natrona County Strong”.

“So we’re basically raising funds through live auctions, silent auctions just to raise funds to help these kids with medical bills, travel expenses, for all of their skin graft treatments and everything else that these kids are going to have to endure for the next quite a while to recover from everything,” said Josey.

Kayden Pharr, who was one of the students injured in the fire, was also present at the event and said, ““I just want to say thank you to everyone to come out. I just means a lot to see everyone out here coming together like this. It’s been a long journey since the hospital and the accident. So it just means a lot to see everyone come out here and support us.”

The event saw almost 300 community members show up and give time and money. Owners also set up a special bank account for the victims of the fire and between that and the funds raised by the event they expect to have raised over $20,000 that will be split three ways between the students.
