CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Natrona County High School was the final Casper high school to hand out its diplomas this weekend. Over 300 graduates walked across the stage to receive their diplomas inside the Ford Wyoming Center on Friday night.

It was the 125th graduation celebration for the old Casper High.

Several NC graduates delivered speeches and gave musical performances before diplomas were handed out. During the musical performances, phone lights were ablaze in the crowd amplifying the hype of the performances.

Natrona County valedictorians Isabel DuBay and Rachel DeGaugh gave two of the speeches. DeGaugh delivered a heartfelt speech that also paid tribute to a recently lost uncle.

Lily Lutz gave the final student speech of the night, and it was met with a standing ovation.

Harlee Santistevan, one of the 2022 graduates, said graduation was a “very special” moment for her and her family.

“If you can’t tell, I worked very hard in high school to get to this point,” said Santistevan while pointing to her collection of graduation stoles and cords. “So I feel like all of my accomplishments are just kind of coming together, which is super cool. And the fact that my parents get to come [to] watch both of their kids graduate is super cool.”

Harlee’s twin brother Hudson was also a part of the 2022 graduating class at Natrona County. “I’m just happy I made it,” said Hudson before getting his diploma.

“It’s pretty fun,” said Hudson about graduating with Harlee. “We’ve always been together in school, so I’m happy we get to graduate together as well.”

Isaac Sutton was another member of the Natrona County class of 2022. He said that he’s come a long way in his academic journey, and he said he would “remember his friends and sports the most” from his time as a Mustang.

“All of the people that I went to school with just made it a blast,” said Sutton with a huge grin on his face. “[I] had fun socializing and getting to know everyone, [and I] made lifelong friends.”

Congratulations the Natrona County High School class of 2022.
