CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Three Cheyenne South athletes made it official that they will be college athletes at South’s final signing day of the school year. Below is each signee’s name, future college/sport and a quote after they signed their college sports letters of intent.

Maureon Alexander, Delaware County Community College (Media, PA) Basketball

“I was extremely blessed. One point I got emotional when I got the [offer] text message. You know it was just a big deal to me and getting so many phone calls and text didn’t feel real at the first point.”

Cheyenne Kohlhagen, LCCC Soccer

“My thought was [my playing career] was over at the end [of the high school season]. My very last game I was like, ‘this is it, it’s over’ and it was a lot of tears  and that was like ‘wow this is really it’  and then my coach said, he wants you to play’ and I was like ‘oh seriously, this is real’ and  it was the most amazing thing that ever happen.”

Maddox Pollard, Burns HS grad, Taft Community College (Taft, CA) Golf

“Courtesy really to my coach, really I didn’t even think I was gonna play college golf. Honestly, I was planning on playing post grad baseball down in Arizona and you know he emailed and got everything in line within the last two weeks of school so I mean it was great.”
