CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - After the last few days gave us lots of rain showers and below average temperatures, we can rest easy knowing that we are beginning a warming trend heading toward the end of the week. On top of it all, clear skies are expected to remain in the forecast for the next few days. There was a little bit of cloud cover pushing in from the north west, but nothing in terms of precipitation is expected until the weekend. That is due to high pressure dominating the region for the next few days. Expect a little bit of cloud cover and some very slight rain showers pushing through in the far north western region, but nothing to, but nothing too significant until a cold front comes in late Friday evening.

This will begin to increase our precipitation chances and also drop off our temperatures going into the weekend and early next week. Wind gusts look to stay calm as well really until the frontal system comes through late on Friday. By then, strong gusts from the west will pick up to over 30 mph and higher in other regions. By this time, expect a couple travel in packs, delays and even some partial road closures.

We don’t need to worry about that too much right now as overnight tonight will bring even warmer temperatures than what we’ve seen lately. Lows across the region look to be in those low 40s which is seasonable for this time of year. Tomorrow, that warming trend continues with a lot more upper 70s and even some lower 80s in the northern regions of the state. This trend is expected to continue pushing into Friday before our rain chances go up and temperatures begin falling due to the incoming cold front.
