Three seniors celebrated at Central Signing Day
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Three Cheyenne Central seniors signed their college sports letters of intent on Wednesday afternoon. Below is each signee’s name, their future college/sport, and a quote after they put pen to paper.
Roree Cowley, Mount Mercy University Basketball
“It feels very good [to make my commitment official]. A lot of stress has been kinda put on making this decision and everything. We went and saw Cedar Rapids two weekends ago and I fell in love being there”
Katie Thompson, Colorado Mesa Track & Field
“I’ve probably spent more time [at Central] than anywhere else in the past four years. From freshman year swimming at 5 in the morning [and not leaving] till 6 at night. Through now, [I’m] always here till like 6 o’clock at night. A lot of hours have been put into here and I’ve gotten a lot out of this place so it means a lot.”
Kelsi Warner, Arcadia University Volleyball
“They found me at a tournament..or a combine..and their coach just gave me a call one day. I went on a visit during March and I just loved the campus and the coach.”
