CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) -

Today did not start off nearly as nicely as the past couple of days. A couple days ago, skies were starting clear with the sun shining and light breezes. Today, skies began the day with heavy cloud coverage and fog. There was even a Dense Fog Advisory for a couple of hours. The faster wind speeds did not start up nearly as quickly as expected this morning, which led to rain showers making their way into the SE corner early this afternoon.

Rain and snow showers will be continuing throughout the day today in the northern half of the state, as those faster Wyoming winds reach into the SE corner. Luckily, once the winds make their way across the southern portion of the state, they will help move out the rainy system to the East. Some of the winds will stay fast throughout the overnight hours. Tomorrow, the winds will also stick around and light cloud coverage will be left behind from the system moving out today. There is a chance of seeing some light rain showers across the northern border tomorrow as well. Winds will calm overnight Friday and into Saturday. Cloud coverage will remain partly to mostly cloudy.

Tomorrow, faster winds and light cloud coverage will be continuing.
